Over the last several days, members of the Thomas Aquinas College community have gathered on both coasts to participate in several of the country鈥檚 rallies in support of the dignity of all human life.

The first event came last Friday, when officials from the New England campus joined the College鈥檚 Washington, D.C., Board of Regents for the National March for Life in the nation鈥檚 capital. Friends, alumni, and their children braved the cold and snow, prayerfully walking through the city鈥檚 streets to pray for an end to abortion.

Marchers first met for an early Mass at St. James Parish in Falls Church, Virginia, followed by breakfast at nearby Godfrey鈥檚 Bakery Cafe. At noon, the group gathered for the March itself. 鈥淎s we marched with our TAC banner, we kept getting greeted by other alumni, or relatives of alumni, and friends from across the country,鈥 says Director of Alumni and Parent Relations Nathanael Cassidy (鈥22). 鈥淚t was an amazing turnout and witness.鈥

The reunions continued afterward, as the group moved to the Dubliner DC Irish Pub for dinner and fellowship. 鈥淭he atmosphere was incredible,鈥 says Mr. Cassidy. 鈥淲ith spirits high from the March, everyone was eager to connect with friends and acquaintances to celebrate the gift of life. We will be back next year, and for as many years as necessary, to join with thousands of others to make it known that every human life is precious and worth protecting.鈥
