Some 750 people from the greater Los Angeles area descended upon Ojai鈥檚 Libbey Bowl on Sunday for a concert hosted by Thomas Aquinas College:

On a glorious afternoon with perfect spring weather, the student group Chrysostomos opened the performance. Directed by Thomas Quackenbush (鈥14), Chrysostomos sang a selection of European and American motets and hymns, many of which appear on its new CD, Triumph Over the Grave. Next, the Thomas Aquinas College Choir, directed by Daniel Grimm (鈥76) took the stage, performing some of the world's best-loved opera choruses. Finally the two choirs came together to sing Bach鈥檚 鈥淛esu, Joy of Man鈥檚 Desiring鈥 and then led the audience in 鈥淕od Bless America.鈥
