Among the many beloved farewell traditions at Thomas Aquinas College is the annual Sophomore-Senior brunch. This year, the New England Class of 2027 bid adieu to the Class of 2025 at an elegant spring event in Bl. Frassati Student Center. Over coffee cake and quiche prepared by the sophomores, the two classes spent the morning enjoying each other鈥檚 company.

Although the brunch is hosted by the sophomores, it is an opportunity for both classes to express their appreciation for each other in the form of toasts. Some were humorous, some were wistful, but all were heartfelt. Students toasted their beloved classmates, roommates, siblings, and friends, thanking them for their companionship and mentorship. Each toast was met with enthusiasm and applause, and for some, a few tears were shed. 鈥淚t鈥檚 crazy how fast time goes,鈥 said Sebastiano Egan (鈥27). 鈥淵ou all have become some of my closest friends in less than two years.鈥

The sophomores spoke about how the seniors have inspired them in their own academic careers, and the seniors expressed how they have been honored that the sophomores look up to them. 鈥淭he Class of 2025 has taught me so much, and I鈥檓 beyond excited for the seniors as they graduate,鈥 said Rose Reilly (鈥27).  鈥淭hey鈥檙e going to do so much good in the world.鈥

The seniors, meanwhile, spoke highly of their underclassman friends: 鈥淭he sophomores are something special,鈥 said Gerard Behe (鈥25). 鈥淚鈥檓 blessed to have been able to spend two academic years with them.鈥
