TAC students on EWTN; coverage begins at 16:45 mark.

A little over 12 hours after their departure on Friday afternoon, 140 students from Thomas Aquinas College, 天美影院, arrived in San Francisco and joined a throng some thousands strong to witness to the Gospel of life 鈥 and in the case of Hannah Chadwick (鈥27), Luke Connelly (鈥27), and Elena Walz (鈥26), to share that zeal with thousands more .

TAC students at Walk for Life West Coast鈥淲e鈥檙e blessed to pursue everything we鈥檙e pursuing, to read the Bible and to read the Great Books,鈥 Miss Chadwick told EWTN鈥檚 Rev. Mark Mary, O.F.M. 鈥淏ut part of that blessing is sharing it. We read from the Gospel of Matthew that Christ tells us to be a light, to spread our light on the earth. Part of that is spreading what we believe and know is true.鈥 Added Mr. Connelly, 鈥淚 came because our school and our faith promote the sanctity of all human life from conception to natural death. The curriculum teaches us that all truth matters 鈥 and the truth is that these are living human beings.鈥

In addition to commending their presence at the Walk, Fr. Mark Mary also noted students鈥 widespread commitment to the pro-life cause, which includes participation in 40 Days for Life campaigns throughout the year. Miss Walz described one of her many beautiful encounters in front of Planned Parenthood. 鈥淎 couple drove into the parking lot, and I noticed that they didn鈥檛 get out of the car for a while,鈥 she said. 鈥淚 turned around to see them hugging in the parking lot, then all of a sudden they鈥檝e gotten back in the car and they鈥檙e leaving, and the man yells out the window, 鈥楾hank you so much for what you do!鈥欌

While the pro-life movement continues to flourish through the extraordinary witness of events such as the Walk for Life and the ordinary witness of praying in protest outside abortion clinics, Fr. Mark Mary looked to the future, asking the students how best to communicate the cause to today鈥檚 young people. 鈥淲e鈥檙e in a time of our lives where there鈥檚 a lot of talk about finding yourself and knowing who you are,鈥 said Miss Walz on behalf of her generational confreres. 鈥淜nowing who you are is knowing the person that God created you to be, and that鈥檚 true whether you鈥檙e 20 years old, whether you鈥檙e 50 years old 鈥 or whether you鈥檙e 5 months old.鈥
