Having introduced the head prefects for ����ӰԺ’s two-week High School Summer Program, the Summer Blog now turns to their East Coast counterparts, who will lead the New England program from July 13-26 in Northfield, Massachusetts.

Luke Cecchi (NE’24)

Leading the men in Northfield this summer will be Luke Cecchi (NE’24) from Cazenovia, New York. This summer marks Luke’s third serving as head prefect, and he is looking forward to taking on the responsibility once more. “It’s a great opportunity to give back to the school,” he says. “The Summer Program is the most real way to pass on my experience at the College, since the students really get to experience how we live.”

Luke is known for his athletic affinity on campus, and he can often be found on the basketball court. He is currently attending Siena College, where he is working toward an advanced certificate in business management and competing in the NCAA with the Siena Saints men’s basketball program. Aside from his athletic pursuits, he loves the threefold unity of the College and hopes to share that unity of the spiritual, intellectual, and social life with Summer Program attendees. “At TAC, we live as Catholics united in faith,” he says. “The intellectual and social lives are both ordered to attaining that end, increasing in faith and love of God.”

Daniela Van Wyk (NE’26)

Coming all the way from ����ӰԺ, rising senior Daniela Van Wyk (NE’26) couldn’t be more excited to serve as women’s head prefect for the 2025 New England High School Summer Program.” “I wasn’t planning on attending such a small school,” she recalls. “But the community and faith life here drew me in like nowhere else I had been.” Having attended the Summer Program herself, Dani is looking forward to introducing attendees to the College’s brand of Catholic liberal education. “I went to the Summer Program and had a blast,” she says. “However, it was the curriculum that won me over. Reading these books and asking questions has been some of the most fulfilling work I’ve ever done.”

Dani firmly believes that the High School Summer Program is a life-changing experience. “It completely realigned my priorities in terms of my life and career goals.” In her free time, she can be found playing Spikeball or volleyball, or exploring the nearby small towns. “I want to help the high schoolers get even a taste of what this education is like,” she says. “Because once you’ve tasted it, you’ll naturally desire it.”
